Gannett Glacier Fire Crew is a Type 2 Initial Attack hand crew. Our positions are open to all United States Residents.

Open positions are posted on the Workplace Alaska website in late December and remain open until mid February. The positions are listed as Wildland Fire & Resource Technician 1, 2, and 3.

We are looking for individuals with strong morals, a willingness to learn, and a high level of integrity. We seek individuals who are willing to dedicate themselves for our organization and the State of Alaska. Gannett Glacier Fire Crew is located in Palmer, Alaska, which is located approximately 35 miles north of Anchorage. There is no housing provided for our crew members.
